Transparency Thursday: Comment and drop a 💯 if you can relate. Each week, I want to share transparent stories boy my life/mental health in an effort to motivate others to not suffer in silence!

Babyyy...I am on Cloud 9! Nothing or nobody can bring me down. Over the past few months, I've been working on really getting myself to a place where I am mentally, emotionally, and physically in a good place! I started therapy again, I started painting an art piece, started working out again, got back into hiking (now that the ☀️is out), etc.!

I love it here! I am not saying these things solely make me happy; BUT, these things contribute to me feeling happy inside. I am learning to balance my emotions and pay close attention to the things that alert my internal happy place-- I'm honing into those things.

Therapy has been teaching me this technique called "Revision, Results, Repeal." It supports the effort of clearing my mind every night before I go to sleep. About 10 minutes before bed, I close my eyes and replay my day and if there was anything that happened that day that I didn't care for, I would revise it to be a scenario of how I would have wanted it to go. I can't change what happened but I can vision what I wanted to happen and change my attitude about what actually happened.

Painting is my second love (after dance)! I started this black art piece that is really slowing down my day. Whenever I feel like I'm going a mile a minute, I spend 30 min or even 2 hours painting to help me slow down.

Me and working out have a love/hate relationship. I don't ever feel motivated to go to a gym like LA Fitness alone but I get all the motivation when I go to Pole Class or a Hustle in Heels class. It's total body and cardio type workouts and I love it. I get to marry my passion for dance and my desire to be fit all in one.

It's hot again soooo I can go hiking!! YAYYY!!! I recently went to Sweetwater Creek to hike a trail out there! It was a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the sounds of the waves and nature callings!

I encourage you to find your happy place! Find something that you feel will make you feel happy inside and do it!!! There's a difference in something making you happy and something making you FEEL happy. Something making you happy gives credit to that thing be the reason you're happy. Something making you FEEL happy gives credit to you internalizing the feeling of being happy.
